Monyta - blog

The blog is happening - Excited?!

monyta - update

what is going on at monyta

Hi from Monyta,

Thanks for all the excellent feedback that we have received! Finally I managed to write something about the web site. We are working hard to produce the first release of the commercial version of Monyta.

We will support a free version of the Feedback tab going forward, so everyone with an account - no worries!  Also, there are many other things to look forward to:

  • Monyta, Forums: Like all the other feedback tabs out there we are implementing a forum allowing you to track and monitor feedback
  • Development Project: Let your customers know what you're up to with your work and projects
  • Improved Bug Management: Manage bugs through a bug life cycle
  • Idea Development: Take your ideas, and manage them through a complete development cycle

But Wait, there's more:
  • Survey Tab in Alpha at the moment. If you're interested in trying the beta, contact us now
  • BlogIt: It's like a blog, but not like a blog. Lets call it a campaign management blog tool.  More information will be reviled as we get closer to the release.

That's it for now!

Time to get back to development
/Scott

monyta - in the cloud

The next release of monyta has been delayed. And for a good reason!

We have decided to move across to the cloud! It’s a natural fit for us, and I am quite excited about it.  Our current server is just not living up to expectation, and we have not been very happy with our service provider.

What you can expect?

-    We will run 3 localised versions, which will ensure the best speeds for you and your clients
  • Australian and Asia distribution
  • USA
  • Europe
-    For enterprise users, a custom localised version will be create to improve efficiency
-    General better performance

monyta - for charity

Are you running a Charity

Over the coming years charities will need to prove more and more the effectiveness of their programmes. As a "Programme Manager" or "Operations Manager" it will be key to have a facility to put in place a system illustrated

1- Collecting and monitoring feedback from the supporters of your charities
2 - Gathering new initiative about how to collect and manage the funds
3 - Monitor feedback from service user (eg/ users who attended a charity activity)

If this is you contact us!

We are keen to run a trial with you! The trial would involve working with you to  set up a custom version of the monyta system which meets your specific needs, and ensuring it meets your obligations as a charity.

Monyta - idea management

Did you know, monyta is more than just a feedback tab?

Monyta - idea management?

Many people see monyta as just a feedback tab.

Well, the feedback tab is just a small part of the system the whole monyta system is based around idea management and development.

The reason we built monyta was to capture, manage and develop ideas. As a business owner, employee, or a customer I personally end us with literally 100s of ideas about things that can be improved, potential new ways of selling, new tools, better improvements, and this list goes on.

The worst thing in business is not to capture these ideas. I (as many people do) try to stay on top of it, write it down, list them and try to manage them.

Hence, why we created monyta! A centralised place to brain dumps all your cleaver ideas and shares them with others in the company to see what they think, and get the most out of it.

We have a few white papers about setting up monyta - idea management as part of your business. Have a read!

Here are some random stats about idea management, when companies use an idea management system 25% of employees contributes ideas, and approx. 70% get developed!

The approximate for business in UK ideas are worth over £100,000 pounds per 100 employees!

Monyta - Idea Review

once upon a time, in the pub

Pub - Idea!

I got this request the other day in the pub; they said "show us your ideas!"

Well, long story short he wanted to know the top 5 ideas about his company site. I quite like this, so I decided to add it to the company blog. Top 5 ideas of a company, web site or product.

So, the first one I will start with is Microsoft Office Live Workspace.  It's a site for management all your documents and content.

Top 5 ideas:

1 - Search Facility: Having a quick find and a search facility would make a huge improvement in terms of time to find documents and presentations

2 - Version Names: The system already has version's which is great. But it would help greatly to be able to give the version a name; I personally end up having many versions of one document as the product changes, and would love to be able to track these changes.

3 - Shared Folders: Having the workspaces is nice, but it would be excellent just to share a single folder in the workspace, otherwise I end up with a long list of workspaces

4 - Project View: At the moment the system allows you to view word documents, text files, pdfs but it doesn't let me view my MS Project file. It would be very helpful to show tasks and views this way!

5 - Preview Zip Files: I have quite a few zip files on the system, it would be nice to be able to view the files inside the zip file

The reason we decided to build monyta is quite a few. As a
business we have a large need to capture all our ideas and manage them as well
as we have quite a lengthy future for it. It’s our aim to make a tool which provides
business with insights and ideas about their market.

Idea Review - Linked In

Our Top 5 ideas for linkedin

Web site review – Top 5 ideas!  Today my review will be on linkedIn, this is a
web site I use a lot for networking

1.
Banded rows:
Colour the rows in the list views would make it a bit easier to read

2.
Saved searches and bookmarks:  When I perform a search, and looking for
specific companies, I get a long list back. Unfortunately, I don’t have time to
look at all the results, I would love to be able to save the search, and book
mark where I am up to!

3.
Groups in Folders:  As a very large follower of groups, I would
love to be able to order the groups a little more logical and have groups in
folders, or tagged.

4.
Search Localisation: When I perform a search, I
have to keep adding back in the city I am in to the search filter, It would be
good to be able to have my city in their as a filter

5.
Contact Later option: When I go through search
results, I find people I would like to contact, but contact later. Having a way
of flagging or book marking a single user would be great
